China Slim Tea
Facts about China Slim Tea
Referred to as the ‘dieter’s delight’, China Slim tea is marketed as an easy weight loss tool. Produced by several different manufactures within China, this tea is supposed to allow you to eat anything that you want and still lose weight fast. There are conflicting reports on the efficacy of this product, with the manufacturers stating its health benefits and some users and doctors claiming that it has too many negative side effects to be healthy.
According to its manufacturers, China Slim tea (sometimes called Pooh tea) is composed of a blend of 100% percent natural herbs collected for their health benefits. This tea contains no caffeine, no preservatives and no additives as well. The listed purpose of this type of black tea is a toxin remover and weight loss supplement. It is supposed to raise the metabolic rate, causing you to burn more calories, eliminate toxins through urine, promote clear skin and fix problems with constipation. Weight loss is achieved through a higher metabolism, the tea’s ability to repress sugar absorption and by speeding up the body’s decomposing of neutral fats. The instructions state to have a cup after each meal.
China Slim tea contains many ingredients, all of which are listed on the package. The main active ingredient that is touted by the manufacturers is Lingzhi, an extremely rare herb with many health benefits. Another major ingredient is Senna, which is a natural laxative. The manufacturers state that you can expect an extra bowel movement each day, and this extra bowel movement helps with weight loss and the removal of toxins. But is this type of black tea really a weight loss tool and is this process considered healthy? As with all health issues, it is always best to consult with your doctor about what products are considered to be healthy and those which are not. Testimonials from people who have used China Slim tea are conflicted, and many people have reported negative side effects.
One of the first and most often reported negative aspects of this type of tea is the strong aroma and negative taste. It has also been said that it leaves a rather nasty aftertaste. Even adding honey or other sweeteners doesn’t seem to help with the taste. Many people have reported stomach pain and diarrhea after drinking Slim teas. Diarrhea can lead to dehydration, which can be a serious medical condition. Long term users of this product may also develop a laxative dependency, or the inability to have regular bowel movements without the use of a laxative tea. It is always healthier for the body to produce regular bowel movements on its own.
There are also several long term negative effects associated with China Slim tea. Hair loss and acne have been claimed in some cases, but long term use of such products can also cause kidney damage. Liver damage is also a possibility. These types of teas may not be approved by either the Chinese Food and Drug Administration or American Food and Drug Administration.
As with all health products, it is important that you perform research and ask questions about any product before you decide if it safe for your body. The best way to lose weight in a healthy manner involves exercise and moderation of calories. As far as staying regular, a diet high in natural fiber, such as celery or oatmeal can help in a more natural way. Regular green tea is also a good choice. It does reduce the body’s sugar absorption and can help to raise the metabolism by 4%. It contains natural antioxidants and has no negative side effects. Green tea is a good substitute for sugary or high calorie drinks. Based on its negative side effects and the possibility of long term damage, China Slim tea should only be used in moderation or not at all for weight loss. Check with your doctor to find out if you should use this type of tea or not.
